Xee Momma

Hello! So you have wandered into my blog. Welcome.

My name is Xee and I’m a mom, if it hasn’t been strongly implied by the blog title yet.

“Xenia Maria” is what’s written on my birth certificate. I was supposed to be named Mary Ann by my parents, but my godmother told my Ma that I do not look like a Mary Ann. So Xenia Maria, it is.

I am called many names. My parents called me “Princess” or “Angel” or “Button”. My friends call me “Eniang”. Former boyfriends called me “Red” or “Panget”. My nephews (my cousins’ kids) call me “Mems”. My boyfriend calls me “Momsy”. The most special person in the whole world, my son Alex, calls me “Mamama” or “Oi”. No one gets away with calling me “oi!” except my son.

But YOU may call me Xee.

I am 23 years old and I was born and raised in the Philippines. I’m an only child. I am also an adoptee. But my “adoptive” parents are the only parents I’ve ever known. They are MY parents.

I am my Da’s princess. I was a spoiled little brat. I still am, actually.

I lost my Ma to Ovarian Cancer in April 2003, when I was nearly 19 years old. It was a long and hard battle, but we gave it all we’ve got.

That same year, in Septemer, I met my Daddykins (my boyfriend! haha!). We attended the same university.

And after four years of hits and misses, and other boyfriends and girlfriends and graduation and immigrating and babies and more boyfriends and girlfriends, we finally made it together. Wo ai ni.

The most important person in my life is my son. I named him Michael Alexis. The name Alexis I took from the sentai hero from the 80s show, Uchuu Keiji Shaider, who is my first love. :p

I’ve been blogging on and off since 2002. But I’ve fiddled around Geocities since 1998. And no, I am not showing you those hideous Geocities pages I’ve built.

I currently am infatuated with colours and typography.

And I will update this annoying bio as soon as I possibly can.
